Milwaukee Secret Food Tour

MilwaukeeSecret Food Tours

The name "Milwaukee" comes from the Algonquian word millioke, meaning "good", "beautiful" and "pleasant land", and it definitely lives up to this reputation with its beautiful views of the expansive Lake Michigan. These days Milwaukee is called many names, from “City of Festivals” to “Cream City”, but it is most recognized as the place for great beer and cheese in the Midwestern US. Germanic influence from the 19th century and a celebration of local food products can clearly be seen and enjoyed through the delicious culinary contributions of the best restaurants from the historic Third Ward to East Town Downtown, areas that you'll get to enjoy when you book our Secret Food Tour: Milwaukee.

Food Tour Milwaukee

Our experienced local guides will lead you through the city's central neighborhoods along the Milwaukee Riverwalk for a three-hour urban culinary tour. We'll start off with a Milwaukee staple, a beer battered fish fry, before heading off to our next stop for Wisconsin's iconic fried cheese curds, a variety of locally made sausages from different regions paired with a craft beer made only for the locals, a sampling of cheese, and a rich German chocolate cake to finish it off. You'll finish our tour full of great food and have a better understanding of Milwaukee's culture, history, and how to live like a local. As always, there's our Secret Dish, which will only be revealed on the tour.

Our tour starts in the Historic Third Ward neighborhood at the vibrant Milwaukee Public Market. Then, weather depending, we'll take a stroll along the Milwaukee River or board The Hop, the city's new streetcar, to East Town where the historic Pabst Theater and City Hall can be found. After experiencing a truly secret stop and visiting our iconic Bronze Fonz statue, we'll head to Old World Third Street where some of the oldest buildings in the city pay tribute to its German heritage, alongside some of the most popular bars and breweries.
