What you'll do

On the Ruam Sab Market Lunch & Canal Boat Experience, you’ll step straight into Bangkok’s midday rhythm, eating where local office workers actually have lunch. Your guide will walk you through the Ruam Sab food court, introducing classic Thai comfort dishes like stir‑fried holy basil with chicken, papaya salad, braised pork leg over rice, noodle soup, and stir‑fried wide rice noodles, explaining what makes each one special and how locals customize flavor with chilies, lime, and fish sauce. You’ll also enjoy traditional sweets such as grilled banana and crispy Thai pancakes, plus your choice of Thai iced tea or fresh fruit smoothie to cool down like a true Bangkokian.

After lunch, you’ll swap the food court for the water, boarding a Khlong Saen Saep taxi boat for a short ride through one of Bangkok’s busiest canals, used daily by commuters escaping the city’s traffic. As you glide toward Pratunam, you’ll see canal‑side neighborhoods, bridges, and hidden corners of the city that most visitors never notice, before stepping off right by Bangkok’s central shopping district with easy access to CentralWorld and the BTS for your onward adventures.

SEE ITINERARY

You’ll start the tour at Phetchaburi MRT Station, Exit 3, where your guide will meet the group and lead you on a short walk to nearby Ruam Sab Market,
Ruam San Market, a busy lunch spot beloved by Bangkok office workers. As you enter the food court, your guide will introduce how this canteen works, pointing out different stalls and explaining how locals choose their perfect combination of rice dishes, noodles, and snacks.
Your first tastings will focus on classic wok dishes. You’ll share a plate of stir‑fried chicken with holy basil over rice and a bright, zesty papaya salad, learning how chilies, garlic, lime, and fish sauce come together to create Thailand’s famous balance of flavors. Then you’ll move on to the “secret dish” of braised pork leg over rice, followed by comforting bowls of stewed‑pork noodle soup and stir‑fried rice noodles with pork, the kind of satisfying dishes that fuel Bangkok’s workday.
To finish your meal, you’ll enjoy two traditional Thai sweets: smoky grilled banana and crispy Thai pancakes, each guest receiving their own portion so they can truly savor the textures and sweetness. You’ll wash it all down with your choice of Thai iced tea or a fresh fruit smoothie, just like the locals cooling off on their lunch break.
After lunch, your guide will lead you to the nearby pier on Khlong Saen Saep, one of Bangkok’s busiest commuter canals, where you’ll board a public taxi boat used every day by thousands of residents. As the boat speeds toward Pratunam, you’ll see canal‑side homes, small bridges, and glimpses of neighborhood life that most visitors miss, while your guide shares stories about Bangkok’s history as the “Venice of the East.”
You’ll disembark at Pratunam pier, right in the heart of Bangkok’s shopping district, a short walk from CentralWorld and the BTS stations at Chit Lom and Siam, perfectly placed to continue exploring, shopping, or simply relaxing after your local‑style Bangkok lunch adventure.

+

You must book directly on our website. We do not accept cash payments. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected.

Why do we need to pay for a booking fee?

+

The booking fee that you have to pay is up to our ticket provider and we can't change it. All our clients need to pay for it upon booking. The booking fee charged contributes to the cost of the ticketing system to provide an excellent service to our customers.

Foreign Transaction Fees

+

A few banks have charged their customer an extra fee while booking with us (this isn't the booking fee but another fee added by the bank). We think this is unfair, if this happens let us know by showing us in your bank statement and we will refund this fee as a gesture of good will.
