On your journey, you'll sample an array of handmade hispanic specialties at family-owned businesses and see where the locals eat while avoiding chain restaurants and tourist traps. Throughout the experience, you'll learn firsthand what "Tex-Mex" actually is while enjoying it in the city in which it originated while also being enchanted by local landmarks such as San Fernando Cathedral, the River Walk, and the Alamo along the way. In fact, we're pretty sure that you'll remember more than that storied building by the time your journey is complete!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Food will be served with water when available. We'll begin on historic Houston Street, right in the middle of San Antonio's thriving theater district.

First up, you'll start your day like the locals do with a beautiful Mexican sweet bread known as a "concha" at the city's most popular panaderia.

Next, you'll savor a delicious local taco favorite served on a warm handmade tortilla at a family-owned taqueria.

After which, you'll discover a unique twist on our beloved "bean burger" at the city's #1 burger joint. .

Now it's time to walk off some calories as we pass by some of our breathtaking architectural gems such as San Fernando Cathedral and the Bexar County Courthouse.

Of course, no visit to San Antonio would be complete without taking time to explore the enchanting River Walk, Texas' #1 tourist attraction.

Alongside the river, you'll experience culinary fusion at its finest as you enjoy a slice of piping hot pizza topped with savory BBQ short rib, fried sage, red onions, and a decadent blue cheese cream sauce.

And finally, it's time to cool down with a scoop of handmade sorbet or gelato as we make our way to our city's most memorable monument - the Alamo!
