What you'll do

On our Secret Food Tour: Vegetarian - Le Marais Paris, you'll enjoy a variety of classic French foods.

Our tour starts at the bustling heart of Le Marais, and more specifically at Temple metro stop. We will visit the old streets of the area, go to one of the oldest markets in Paris, enjoy many local shops and sit at typical restaurants to enjoy local food. We will finish near the famous rue de Rivoli, one of the main streets of the city. We will go through beautiful streets, pass by many "Hôtel Particuliers" and amazing boutique shops. You will realise how the locals live in this part of Paris and how the city's history has influenced its gastronomy.

All the food will be served with quality wines or, if you prefer, non-alcoholic beverages. A thoughtfully curated Upgraded Drink Package is available.

Due to the nature of creating a well balanced and thoughtful gastronomy experience, many of our tours are unable to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. Please contact us prior to booking your tour to see if we are able to accommodate your dietary needs.

After meeting with the guide at Temple station, you will first have an introduction concerning the area
You will then have a taste of a French coffee complemented with a croissant in a typical Parisian café.
Go to a local bakery to collect some amazing French baguette
Some tiny streets later, you will have the chance to taste and see the diversity of gastronomy in the local Marché des Enfants Rouges, where you will get to try very tasty French cheeses and some white wine.
You will also get the chance to taste a local organic fruit of season.
You will go through the streets of Le Marais, full of magnificent "Hôtels Particuliers".
Enjoy a vegetarian quiche (vegetables/cheese or fish/veggies depending upon availability) served with a fresh salad to share
Get into the South Marais and visit the Jewish district with its picturesque atmosphere.
Finally, go an amazing macaron & chocolate shop where quality rhymes with refined.
All tour along, your guide will teach you some great knowledge about both the history and the gastronomy to enhance the whole experience

Where the Le Marais Vegetarian tours will end?

Is your food tour suitable for a vegetarian or someone with other dietary requirements?

You can always tell our guide of any food allergies or special dietary requirements. This tour is tailor made for vegetarian most allergies can be accommodated on the base of cross-contamination tolerance, only Coeliac can not be provided with non gluten products. Please take note that this tour is NOT adapted for Vegans.

I am travelling with my family, is the tour ok for infants/children?

Children are more than welcome to our tour. We have had many families attend from all over the world and everyone has enjoyed the tour. However, please be informed that any accompanying underage children must be carried, as the area is not suitable for strollers. You will have to carry and keep your baby on your lap as well when seated to enjoy our picnic at the end of the tour.

I don't drink wine. Can I book your tour?

This is not a problem. Just inform our guide before the tour starts. During the tasting you can select another beverage you like!

Is there enough food during your tour?

We give enough food to all our customers. Trust us: you will not need to go to the restaurant after the food tour!

Where do I add my discount voucher?

I would like to take your tour but it is already fully booked. Is there a way I can do the tour?

Our tours are often sold out very quickly. If the date you requested is not available, please do not hesitate to email us and we can see if there is anything we can do. We cannot promise but we will try our best to sort something for you.

Is the tour suitable for pregnant women?

Pregnancy can be accomodated, you will be given a quiche/tart option instead of the meat and two cheese are pasteurized, soft drinks and water will replace the alcohol.

Accessibility wheelchair

This tour is accessible to people in wheelchairs if those can be folded and some standing is possible for short periods.

Is there a lot of walking?

There will be around 1 hour and half walking but it is not too difficult.

How many people max are on this tour?

We take 10 people maximum. If you are more than 10 people, please do not hesitate to email us and we will try to see if we can accommodate.

I cannot find a way to print the confirmation. Is it OK if I have it on my phone?

You do not have to print your voucher. A confirmation on your phone will be fine!

If I purchase a voucher as a gift, or am given a voucher how long is it valid for?

All of our vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase.

Can I choose my own cheese and fruit?

No, our guide will take care of everything and the choice of the fruit will be dictated by the season availability.

Where does your food come from?

We work with small shops and local artisan hand picked for the quality of their products and services.

What if it rains or I change my plans?

Unfortunately, the weather is unpredictable in Paris. We do not issue refunds as per our terms and conditions. We also inform you that we go through with the tour with 4 people minimum! However we do reserve the right to cancel the tour if we feel the weather is extreme, and we cannot run the tour due to this for more info see our Terms and Conditions.

Can I pay the tour in cash?

You must book directly on our website. We do not accept cash payments. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected.

Why do we need to pay for booking fee?

The booking fee that you have to pay is up to our ticket provider and we can't change it. All our clients need to pay for it upon booking. The booking fee charged contributes to the cost of the ticketing system to provide an excellent service to our customers.

Foreign Transaction Fees

A few banks have charged their customer an extra fee while booking with us (this isn't the booking fee but another fee added by the bank). We think this is unfair, if this happens let us know by showing us in your bank statement and we will refund this fee as a gesture of good will.
