Where do I begin with Donna-Lynn?! Her personality shines from the moment you meet her. You can tell she has a passion for Montreal and the local food within it. She has many great suggestions and some of the places she brings you to, you would never think to go to yourself (and of course some of the ones you do :)). Definitely go with a empty stomach, you'll definitely get your fill (literally) and even have some leftovers! Definitely book a tour with confidence know you're going to have a good time, and a full belly!

Secret food Tours Montreal
I booked this tour for my visit in Montreal. I attended food tours before in other cities, but this tour is beyond my expectation. Our guide Donna-Lynn is very nice. She took us to various places, not just for food tasting, but also introducing the origins of food and histories of the restaurants. For example, she told us the difference between Montreal style bagel and other bagels and the origin of poutine. Donna-Lynn is very knowledgeable about Mile End. As we walking along the way, she told us a lot about the community and the city, such as the shaping and developing of Mile End, architectural characteristics, histories of local shops and even interesting things happened in neighbourhood. Our tour is not just for food tasting but also for shop visiting. For example, the famous salad bar opened in a boutique, a laundromat where everything is pink, and so on. This is a wonderful experience.

Donna-Lynn’s tour of the Mile End neighborhood was an absolute highlight of my recent trip to Montreal! Not only was she able to provide interesting historical tidbits and anecdotes about the various places we went to, but the food was delicious and plentiful (expect leftovers if you go on a private tour - not a bad thing). In addition, she was very personable and it was delightful to just have a conversation with her. I would definitely recommend her either for a private tour option or for the larger group option (whenever that is offered again).
