This tour exceeded our expectations by far! Nüsret is easy-going, social and truly a genuine person that cares about food and culture, and has put a lot of thought in planning this tour. He introduced us to very delicious and authentic foods and shared interesting stories about the neighbourhood, the history of Istanbul and himself. We would love to give more detail about what we ate but we'll just spoil the surprise! He gave us other useful tips on restaurants and how to move around the city. We would recommend Nüsret's tour to anyone who visits Istanbul. Thank you Nüsret for setting up this awesome experience!

Review: Secret Food Tours Istanbul
This was my first food tour and it was so excellent! We tried delicious examples of typical turkish foods from different regions at a pace that meant i wasnt too full to try everything. It was also nice to get away from the uber touristy old town for a bit and see where the locals hang out. Nusret knows all the best little gardens and is so friendly and open about all things Turkey that it almost felt like a meal with a friend instead of a tour.

Review: Secret Food Tours Istanbul
I am tour guide in Paris , so when I travel I like to have a guide. I am very particular about guides, from my own experience as one. I could almost tell right away Nustret our guide was going to be good. He was open and friendly and had a nice disposition, It took a little long to get to first destination but worth it. I had been having American style breakfast buffets at my hotel & really wanted to have authentic Turkish breakfast. It was a hole in the wall, but fantastic. A certain egg dish with tomato and peppers was delicious. Nustret lived in the area, so he really knew his way around. we then went for a turkish pizza, which was thin crusted , just the way I like. I had two favorite spots at the end of the tour. First was a beautiful Art Nouveau wine bar, and we sipped a cherry wine, whichI never had before. It wasn't sweet at all. the last stop was a hidden gem, where they served this amazing pastry, warm phyllo dough stuffed with cream and pistachios. It was one of the best desserts I've ever had. more than stuffed, Nustret kindly walked us to the ferry after the tour was over. a real highlight of my trip ti Istanbul. definitely book this tour.

The best tour i have taken in Europe, by far. There is not a forgettable or throwaway bite. The food is excellent from beginning to overly stuffed end. Nusret is the most amiable and knowldegable guide. Excellent!
