We'll start in the medieval square of Santa Maria Novella, a few steps from the train station, and visit the palace of the oldest noble winemakers of Florence.
You'll taste six different Tuscan wines in three unique enotecas (wine bars).
Your guide will explain how wine-making techniques have changed throughout the centuries, and why today's wines are so different from those in the past.
We'll stop for a breathtaking view of the river Arno at sunset, before moving to the Oltrarno districts of Santo Spirito and San Frediano. Home of the most authentic Florentine historic wineries, osterias, and trattorias.
Next, you'll enjoy our Secret Sip at sunset in a medieval square.
You'll be immersed in the local movida (Tuscan wine culture).

We selected Florence's Old City Center and Oltrarno because walking through these two neighborhoods feels like walking through two different villages; noble, medieval, and renaissance palaces and churches, people from around the world walking and getting lost in the back streets; the beauty or art spread everywhere and artisans working inside their craft shop, reminding us a centenary long-lasting tradition.

Oltrarno is an area where the traditional restaurants have resisted the tides of globalization. Its own identity, history, culture, and ambiance have been maintained and cultivated over hundreds of years, making this the perfect place to experience the authentic, delicious wines that Florence has to offer.

How do I order?

That is very easy! Go to our "Book Now" page, where we detail our tours. Select your tour and the time of your tour and book it! Are you looking for something special or are you organizing an event? HOW CAN I CATCH UP IF I ARRIVE LATE FOR THE TOUR?

All guests must arrive on time but if you inform us before the tour starts about being late we can try to assist you by telling you where the guide is. Please call the number on the contact us page., and we'll try to direct you to us. Please note that unfortunately we cannot issue refunds.

I CANNOT FIND ON THE WEBSITE HOW TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE TOUR. CAN YOU CHANGE IT FOR ME OR HELP ME IN ANY WAY?

Yes, of course! Please let us know your reference number and the new date. We can do this as long as you give us a minimum of 48 hours notice and there is space available on the tour.

IS THERE A BOOKING FEE?

All customers have to pay a small booking fee charged by our ticket provider.

CAN I PAY YOU DIRECTLY?

Yes! You can pay through Paypal, however Paypal also charges a fee so we have to add 4.8% onto the price.

Where do I add my discount voucher?

WE HAVE TYPED THE CODE, BUT IT WON'T LET US BOOK. HOW ARE WE GOING TO USE THE CODE IF THE BOOKING WIDGET WON'T LET US?

Kindly give us the code and we will check this from our system.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE Secret Urban Wine Tours?

The Secret Wine Tasting tour will visit 3 venues and include 7 different wines. Each sample is equivalent to a small glass of wine.

I AM TRAVELLING WITH MY FAMILY, IS THE TOUR OK FOR INFANTS/CHILDREN?

Please be aware the legal drinking age in Italy is 18, therefore we are unable to take children or people under this age. However our food tour is child and family friendly, and a great option for children over 6.

I DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL. CAN I BOOK YOUR TOUR?

As this tours emphasis is on alcoholic beverages, this tour would not be suitable for anyone that does not drink alcohol, and we'd recommend our food tour instead.

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE YOUR TOUR BUT IT IS ALREADY FULLY BOOKED. IS THERE A WAY I CAN DO THE TOUR?

Our tours often sell out. If the date you requested is unavailable, email us and we will see if there is anything we can do.

IS THERE A LOT OF WALKING?

To join our Secret Urban Wine Tours tour, there is a moderate amount of easy walking, and you should wear comfortable shoes.

What if it rains or I change my plans?

Unfortunately, the weather is unpredictable in Florence. We do not issue refunds as per our terms and conditions. We also inform you that we never cancel a booking even if we have only 2 people! I CANNOT FIND A WAY TO PRINT THE CONFIRMATION. IS IT OK IF I HAVE IT ON MY PHONE?

You don't have to print your voucher. Confirmation on your phone will be fine!

HOW MANY PEOPLE MAX ARE ON THIS TOUR?

We take 8 people maximum. If you are more than 8 people, please do not hesitate to email us and we will try to see if we can accommodate.

Can I pay the tour in cash?

You must book directly on our website. We do not accept cash payments. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected.

Why do we need to pay for booking fee?

The booking fee that you have to pay is up to our ticket provider and we can't change it. All our clients need to pay for it upon booking. The booking fee charged contributes to the cost of the ticketing system to provide an excellent service to our customers.

Foreign Transaction Fees

A few banks have charged their customer an extra fee while booking with us (this isn't the booking fee but another fee added by the bank). We think this is unfair, if this happens let us know by showing us in your bank statement and we will refund this fee as a gesture of good will.
